Dr. Oyuka Byambasuren is a GP from Mongolia and a PhD candidate at the Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice at Bond university under the supervision of Professor Paul Glasziou. Her research centres around effectiveness of smartphone health apps and their usability in primary care. She set out to find ‘prescribable’ health apps, explored the barriers to the adoption of health apps as non-drug treatment and is currently conducting a world-first study on health app prescription uptake among Australian GPs by addressing the identified barriers.
